NO SPOILERS
Usually when I go to the movies, I try to get as little information as possible. Yesterday, I entered the auditorium knowing only the Italian title and the poster image. If you haven’t already seen the movie, I advise you not to continue reading even if there are no spoilers.
I learned that watching this film without having much information about it, in reality it had been thought like this in Japan, where there was minimal publicity, and I understand why.
This is a film that has a certain weight, a magnificent weight but that is lost with the acquisition of information.
I will not bore you here with explanations on the meanings and theories, as I leave that task to intelligent people–or presumed to be such.
I will only tell you that there are several possible interpretative keys and they are all correct.
Spoilers on the topics covered.
It is a movie on life and death, on the legacy and the weight that follows, ; it is a personal film, a letter that the master writes to everyone, but above all to himself.
