Today we talk about the most controversial film of the moment: Joker-Folié à Deux.
This is a film that needs to be metabolized and that in our opinion, has been attacked by critics for the wrong reasons.
The most common complaint was that of “too many songs” ; in terms of the screenplay, this film does not shine as much as the first one did, but that does not mean it should be thrown away.

In our opinion, the songs are well managed and are more than anything a pretext to contextualize what happens in some specific moments. They were not a bother for the quantity factor, but if you can define it as “bothersome”, they did it in terms of remaining in the viewer’s head after watching the film.
What we ask ourselves is: what did the public expect after the boom of the first chapter? Is it right to “overthink” by trying to call a multi-faceted artist like Lady Gaga to bring people to the box office?
For the rest, the photography remains excellent, the costumes were eccentric and imaginative, and as for the actors, the fun they had on set shines through.
The ending instead wants to provoke a reflection: “Who is, or what is Joker for the people of Gotham”?
